Orthodox Program Holy Land

Arrival to airport, we will depart for an unforgettable and fulfilling spiritual odyssey! Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Tel Aviv.

After breakfast, we will drive along the shores of the Mediterranean Sea to ancient Caesarea, where Peter baptized the family of Cornelius, and where Paul was imprisoned for two years. We will visit the ruins of the Roman Theater, the ancient port, the amphitheater, and the Crusaders’ Moat. Afterwards, we will travel through the Plain of Sharon to the modern port city of Haifa and ascend Mount Carmel, home of the prophets Elijah and Elisha, for a scenic view of the city and the port. We’ll visit the Carmelite basilica, popularly known as Stella Maris and celebrate Mass here. Next we will go to Muhraka, the site of the duel between Elijah and the false prophets of Baal. From there, we will drive to our hotel located on the shores of the Sea of Galilee in the town of Tiberias.

Breakfast at Hotel, boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, Continue to Capernaum, the Synagogue, continue to the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Apostles, Drive on to the Mountain of Beatitudes, Tabgha, the Church of the Multiplication of Fishes and Loaves, Yardenit on the Jordan River, Return to the hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at Hotel, visit the Church of the Transfiguration on Mt. Tabor, Church of Transfiguration and pray, village of Naim, Cana and the Greek Orthodox, Continue to Nazareth, The Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, the Dotan Samaria, Ahab’s capital, visit the mound of the ancient city, drive through the biblical heartland down to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, drive to Bethlehem, the Shepherd’s field and the Church of the Nativity, the Holy Manger, the Cave of St. Jerome, visit the Monastery and Church of the Prophet Elias and the Church and Tomb of St. Symeon, the Just, the Monastery of the Holy Cross, the village of Ein Karem, Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Bethlehem.

Enjoy breakfast and drive o the Jaffa Gate of Jerusalem. We leave the coach to walk through old Jerusalem to the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate, Church of Saint Anna, the Pools of Bethesda, walk along the Way of the– Via Dolorosa – which starts from the Fortress of Antonia and ends at the Temple Mount, visit the Prison of Christ, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Chapel of the Golgotha, some free time in the in the Christian quarters for lunch or shopping, visit the Israeli museum, Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, drive to the Mount of Olives to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Holy City, visit the Monastery of St Mary, St Stephen’s Church, the Tomb of the Virgin Mary, Gethsemane, the Church of All Nations and the Garden of Agony, the Church of Our Father and the Chapel of Ascension, the Zion Gate to walk to the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) on Mount Moriah, the Dome of the Rock, Mt. Zion to visit the Room of the Last Supper, King David’s Tomb and the Church of the Dormition. Return to the hotel for dinner.

After breakfast, drive to Jericho to climb the Mount of Sarantarion (The Mount of Temptation, cable car up to the Mount (Sarantarion Oros), Lunch break, the Dead Sea, Qumran, Continue to the Church of St. Elisseos and Zacchaeus’ Tree, the Judean Desert to the Monastery of St.

Continue to Martha and Lazarus Tomb, Dinner and overnight at the hotel

Transfer to the airport in Tel Aviv for your flight back home.
