The Jerusalem and Dead Sea tour begin with us at the top of Mount Scopus where a scenic view of Jerusalem awaits us. We get to see some sacred spots in the old city of Jerusalem like the Church of all Nations, Garden of Gethsemane etc. We continue the tour by driving into the ancient city of Jerusalem through the Zion gate; we see the Jewish quarter and the Armenian Quarters.
In the Jewish quarter, we visit the Cardo which was the main street in the Ancient Byzantine and Roman cities and stop to place prayer notes on the Western wall which is believed to be the most religious site in the world for the Jewish people. We proceed through the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher which houses the spot of Jesus’ crucifixion and also the iconic burial crypt where he spent three days before he rose again.
We stop briefly for a lunch break and then continue to the Dead Sea. Before getting there, we make a quick stop at the sign indicating the “sea level” before descending to the dead sea. At the Dead Sea beach, also known as the “sea of salt”, you get to have a wonderful time, chill, tan under the dazzling Dead Sea sun and also get to use the pure mineral rich Dead Sea mud to rejuvenate your skin.
