Experience a diverse array of sights and activities during this 4-day tour package of northern Israel. Relax in a Kibbutz hotel while exploring the Galilee, Golan Heights, and the Mediterranean coast of Israel. Highlights of the trip include visits to Caesarea, Haifa, the Crusader city of Akko, the sea caves of Rosh HaNikra, Nazareth, Capernaum, Banias, and Tiberias, located on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. You’ll also have the opportunity to stop at the baptismal site of Yardenit, situated on the River Jordan.

Embark on the Golan Heights Tour, which will take you through the northern region via the Plain of Armageddon, passing Megiddo and into the picturesque Galilee. This region boasts rolling hills, lush farmlands, vineyards, and the serene Sea of Galilee. After crossing the Jordan River, we ascend the Golan Heights, where the countryside is abundant with greenery. Along the way, we’ll stop at Hamat Gader, a site with natural hot springs used by both the Romans and modern-day spa enthusiasts.

The tour then takes us to the Shalom Observatory, where we can enjoy breathtaking views of the Sea of Galilee and surrounding areas from an elevated position. In Katzrin, we’ll visit an excavated Jewish village from the Mishnah and Talmudic eras. We’ll also stop by the Golan Antiquities Museum to explore archaeological discoveries from the Golan, including a film on the ancient Jewish city of Gamla.

At Mt. Bental, we’ll delve into the remaining Syrian bunkers and trenches, captured by the Israelis during the 1967 Six Day War.

Embark on a coastal city tour of Israel, beginning with a drive north of Tel Aviv and our first stop in Caesarea. Explore the ancient Roman port city’s remains, including the theater, hippodrome, palaces, temples, and bathhouses. Continuing north, we arrive in Haifa, a bustling port city known for its terraced Baha’i Gardens on Mt. Carmel, where we learn about the Baha’i faith. Our journey takes us all the way to Israel’s border with Lebanon, where we visit the sea caves of Rosh HaNikra. Marvel at the crashing waves against the rock formations while exploring the cave chambers and tunnels. On our return south, we visit the Crusader city of Acre and tour the 12th-century Crusader fortress, Ottoman structures, and former Turkish and British Mandate citadel prison.

Overnight stay: Golan Heights

Experience the unique community of a kibbutz on this tour, starting with a visit to learn about their way of life. Then, we head towards the foot of Mt. Hermon and the Hermon River, stopping at Banias, a former site of a Roman city dedicated to the God Pan. The Banias boasts lush forests, streams, and waterfalls that are so beautiful, they have been compared to the Garden of Eden. We continue our journey to Kal’at Nimrod, a 13th-century fortress perched on a hilltop, offering stunning views of the Golan. Afterward, we stop for lunch at a Druze restaurant before heading to the holy Jewish city of Safed, where we tour the Caro Synagogue, Ari Synagogue, and the Artists’ Quarter. Finally, we head back south, leaving behind the Galilee and Golan.
